Based in Katoomba, the Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute www.bmwhi.org.au/live/is a partnership between:

• University of Sydney
• University of Western Sydney
• Australian Museum
• Botanic Gardens Trust
• Sydney Catchment Authority
• National Parks and Wildlife Service

This is an independent and collaborative organisation that brings together research, local communities, and government regulatory agencies in conserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area (GBMWHA). A range of research programs are being undertaken.
