The Katoomba Chamber of Commerce and Community hosted two successful Christmas Shopping Night Events in 2009 and 2010 which were warmly received by Mountains residents.
2011 will again see the streets of Katoomba full of Christmas fun and cheer, giving shoppers a chance to avoid the stress and crowds associated with Christmas, by shopping and dining locally.
This year there will be two extended shopping opportunities:
- Thursday 15th December from 5 – 8pm
- Saturday 17th December from 3 – 7pm
Leave the children at home, shop on Thursday night and be spoilt by Katoomba shopkeepers with attentive service and Christmas treats. Some shops will even gift wrap for you! Avoid the parking hassles, the crowds and the hype. Admire the festive window decorations. After your relaxed shopping experience, grab a quick bite in one of our fine cafes or restaurants.
On Saturday afternoon, bring the family and enjoy carollers, face painting, entertainment and music. Stroll Katoomba Street and enjoy the sights between popping into shops to make your purchases. Santa will even make an appearance. Complete your 12 Windows of Christmas Competition entry form, before heading home.
With each purchase on both nights, you receive a ticket and a chance to win our fabulous Christmas Hamper.
