The Question
A number of local government areas have set up economic development corporations, which collaborate with the council, government agencies and local business. Would this type of formalised organisation be suitable for Blue Mountains?

I think the idea of a EDC has merit however I thinnk we need to further shape what future economic growth is to look like before we commit to an acton plan which may or may not include an EDC.

I like the idea of a Economic Development Committee of council.

I am unaware of what an EDC would achieve, or even what it's goals would be.

Given that Coumncil currently only has a part tie economic development officer, further commitment will be required by Council.

I like the idead of Coumncil supporting a privately-run Business Accelerator.
