Over 2004-2008, the Blue Mountains City Council committed to developing a Sustainable Blue Mountains website to provide information and understanding about the progress towards achieving the City Vision.

From July 2006 to June 2008 www.sustainablebluemountains.net.au was piloted and further developed through consultation with Blue Mountains people.

Blue Mountains City Council continues to maintain this website on behalf of the community.

Making a difference

We can all contribute to achieving a more sustainable Blue Mountains in our own special way. Observing the results of our actions over time increases our understanding about the state of our City and whether we are making progress in achieving our Vision for a more sustainable Blue Mountains.

Given the richness of our differences, it is valuable to share our ideas and our contributions. This website is offered as a forum for this exchange.
